CLEAN is a Western Australian slow fashion label for everyone that loves quirky everyday clothing, colourful festival fashion and alternative fashion. Goods are produced with sustainability and ethics in mind. The brand is solely run by Christina Lean from designing, cutting and sewing to packing and sending to you from Perth.
Christina graduated at South Metropolitan TAFE in 2016 with an Advanced Diploma in Applied Fashion Design and Technology where the label was developed. Originally the unisex label was created for lots of play on colour and giving fashion a much needed element of disorder whilst still making garments wearable. Heavy influences from Japanese street fashion play a very big part in the design and brand identity.
In 2017, the label became more focused on ethical and sustainable ways of creating garments for those who are interested in slow fashion and sustainability but also seek pieces that aren’t neutral or basic. These focuses are expressed through a mix of one off reworked vintage pieces, cut and sewn garments made from secondhand fabrics and ethically sourced fabrics featuring fun textile prints by talented surface designers.
Everything is either unique or made in very limited runs to make the pieces extra special.
